4SH-12 is 3/4 inch EN 856 4SH four wire spiral hydraulic hose sold by the foot for very high pressure and high impulse service. It handles higher pressures than SAE 100R12 and requires no skiving with W Series fittings through size 24.
- Recommended service: Very high pressure applications using petroleum and water based hydraulic fluids
- Compatible hydraulic fluids: Mineral and synthetic oil fluids including HL, HLP, HLPD, and HVLP; oil water emulsions including HFAE, HFAS, and HFB; and water glycol liquids including HFC
- Additional media: Vegetable and mineral oil based lubricants, cooling water, and compressed air
- Biodegradable fluids: Generally suitable for HETG, HEPG, and HEES fluids, with compatibility limited by fluid additives
- Not suitable for: Phosphate ester based hydraulic fluids, including HFD fluids
- Compatible fittings: W Series bite to the wire crimp fittings through size 24; JJ Series skive crimp fittings for sizes 20, 24, and 32
